Purple Prairie Clover

Pending NPSOT review

A nitrogen-fixing legume with high wildlife value and a favorite of native bees. Scarify and inoculate the seed; slow to start. One honest caveat: NPSOT maps it to the plains north and west of us, not the Cross Timbers or the Plateau, so treat it as a component of the TPWD mix rather than a documented local native.

StatusA working first pass, being reconciled against NPSOT and USDA PLANTS. Corrections welcome at [email protected].
