Bushy Bluestem
Pending NPSOT reviewA clumping warm-season grass for the wet pocket — the moisture-loving cousin of the bluestems in our upland mix. The fluffy silver-white seedheads hold through winter, so it should mark the wet zone from a long way off. It’s slow from seed in ground where annuals push back, so we’re buying plugs for the spots that matter and putting seed in with the winter dormant sowing.
StatusA working first pass, being reconciled against NPSOT and USDA PLANTS. Corrections welcome at [email protected].
