Cherokee Sedge

An evergreen clumping sedge, sun or shade, with arching seed spikes in spring. This one’s a trial, and we’re saying so plainly: NPSOT maps it to the Blackland and Post Oak country east of us, and the nearest record we’ve found is about forty miles away. But it’s the wet-meadow sedge the trade reliably sells, so it fills whatever the plug order can’t cover in littletooth and Texas meadow sedge. We’re planting the three side by side and watching what establishes. We may be wrong about this one.
